Pench Tiger Reserve

Established in 1975, Pench Tiger Reserve, shared between Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra is 90 km (2 hours) scenic drive from Nagpur. It is named after the Pench river that flows through its teak and bamboo forests. The reserve is home to Bengal tigers, leopards, Indian wolves, sloth bears etc. and over 200 bird species. Best explored from October to June and closed on Wednesdays, Pench’s enchanting landscapes and its inspiration for Rudyard Kipling’s classic ‘The Jungle Book’ make it a must-visit for everyone.
