Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve

Established in 1995, Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve in Maharashtra is 140 km (3 hours) scenic drive from Nagpur. It is named after the local deity ‘Taru’ and the Andhari river. Its teak and bamboo forests host Bengal tigers, leopards, sloth bears, Indian gaur, wild dogs etc. and over 300 bird species. Best explored from October to June and closed on Tuesdays.
